How Does a Dremel Tool Work?

"The question is what is a Dremel tool and how does it work? This right here is a Dremel tool and it's one of the most useful tools in a workshop for hobbyists that like to do woodworking and metalworking. In a nutshell, it is a hand-held grinding device, but it's for very precision work, and if you'll see here when you flip it on, it basically has a switch with a motor in it, and it's a high torque motor so it can take a lot of abuse. And it can cut wood, it can cut metal, it can cut glass, it can cut laminate, but some of the options with a Dremel tool, if you're going to be looking at one that there is the single speed motor, or this unit is a variable speed motor. I highly recommend variable speed because you'll find you have so many more uses with a Dremel tool. But a Dremel tool also comes with a guard across the top and it now becomes a router. You can change the top of it out and put on a flexible shaft, and now you've got a light-weight hand piece to hold in your hand and you're not having to carry the weight of the motor and you can do real fine carving with metal tools on the end of this bit. The Dremel tool is probably the number one tool you need to get in your shop if you want to get into woodworking or metalworking. I recommend it highly."
