Video Transcript

"Hi, my name is Brooke Kramer and I am the Financial Aid Officer with Argosy University in Salt Lake City and today we're going to talk about how to get free scholarships in the medical career for minorities. And the very first thing you're going to want to do is contact your financial aid officer at the university you're planning on attending 'cause they can give you a list of scholarships provided through the university. And you're also going to want to contact the department and see what scholarships are available through them specifically. Most medical schools do provide specific scholarships towards medical field students. Next, you're going to want to do a search on, pretty much on the web to see what scholarships are available through, maybe your state or through non-profit organizations throughout your community. You are then going to really want to come up with a resume as well as a personal statement or an essay telling why you believe you're best for the scholarship. If you have any other questions regarding this, please visit our website at www.argosy.edu."
