Hi, my name is Brooke Kramer and I am a Financial Aid Officer with Argosy University in Salt Lake City and today we're going to talk about how to apply for a dance scholarship. And the first thing you're going to want to do is first check out what type of scholarships are available at your university or college geared specifically towards dance students. Next is, when you're in your undergraduate degree is to really or even in high school is to really start your dance career. You want to get a lot of practicing and you want to make yourself very much eligible for those scholarships. You're also going to want to keep a good great point average and possibly do some community service or some leadership activities. A lot of scholarships not only look at what you do for specifically dancing; but, also what you do in other portions of your life. Next you're going to want to talk to a recruiter or a coach from a university to find out really what they're looking for in a dance student.
