Hi, my name is Brooke Kramer and I am a Financial Aid Officer with Argosy University in Salt Lake City and today we're going to talk about how to find scholarships for African-American seniors. And the first thing you're going to want to do is go see your counselor at your high school. They should have a list of different types of scholarships available through either the state, the government as well through, hopefully private organizations and local universities. Next you're going to want to contact the universities or colleges that you're planning on attending and see if there scholarships available through them and what types of scholarships you might be eligible for. Also I would recommend you do a search on the web for different types of scholarships available. You want to definitely try to narrow down your search so if there's some in your, particular good at, say,you do a lot of community service, do a specific search on the web for that. You do want to be very wary of scam scholarships on the web, so be very careful who you give your information out to. If you have any other questions regarding this, please visit our website at www.argosy.edu.
