"Hi, my name is Brooke Kramer, and I'm the financial aid officer with Argosy University in Salt Lake City. And today, we're going to talk about how to get free money for Texas nurses. And the first thing you're going to want to do is contact your university that you're planning on attending, specifically their nursing area, and see what scholarships are available through them. Most universities, especially where they have nursing degrees, will have scholarships specifically geared toward nurses. You will also want to check out your local community and see what scholarships are available through different health care facilities. Many hospitals will provide scholarships, so definitely check out those. You will also want to start creating resumes and letters of recommendations as well as personal statements as to why you believe you would be eligible for the scholarship. You want to also make sure you're maintaining a great grade point average in order to qualify. Many scholarships have requirements, including a GPA requirement.
