"Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I am going to give you some garage organizing tips. First off, if you're going to clean out your garage, make sure you only have to do it every once in a blue moon. If you do it the right way the first time, and you keep everything where it's supposed to go, you won't ever have to do this again. I mean I've seen people who's garages are so, so organized. You wouldn't believe it. They know where everything is and the key is: get rid of the stuff that you don't need, first and foremost. If you find something in your garage that you've been living without for ten years and you're like "wow, I didn't know I still had that." Get rid of it. You don't need it. You haven't needed it for ten years. Think of it that way. Get rid of, you know, at least half of the stuff that you're tryin' to put around and to organize. There's somebody at a consignment shop that may want it, you may be able to get money for it at a garage sale, something like that. So, once you've gotten rid of everything you don't necessarily have to have, think about getting everything you can up off the floor. The more stuff that's sitting on the floor, the more it's going to start to creep into the space where you want to park your car, so keep everything up off the floor. Like over here, there's a bicycle hanging up. It's a awesome idea, and all this is is a piece of wood with, you know, some nails stuck in it. How cheap and inexpensive is that? And it's so useful. You can hang your weed eater on it, wires, chains, dog leashes, anything. You can, nails are wonderful and all you gotta be able to do is find a stud, and hang up, you know, a piece of wood up and you've got tons of room to store stuff. Another thing is these storage bins. These are awesome and you can find 'em in so many different colors. So you can get red ones for Christmas or orange ones for Halloween so you can run out and grab it. You know where everything is. If you don't want to go out and buy storage bins, use regular boxes. Just make sure that they're labeled, and shelves are wonderful. Of course, they keep things off the floor. You want to keep things off the floor. I cannot stress that enough. You can also buy shelves that go up above your garage door and those stay hidden really well and things are up and out of the way. Just make sure to be mindful of things that you really have to have and things that you don't really need. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and those are some garage organizing tips."
