Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to teach you about cleaning plastic auto trim. Plastic auto trim can dry out really easily and the one thing you want to remember when you clean it, is don't leave soapy water on it. Rinse the soapy water off. Right here I've got a little bit of soapy water. Clean it up really good and then make sure to get the soapy water off. I'm using a Shammy right now because it's really absorbent, but I would say rinse it if you're washing your entire car, just make sure to rinse the plastic spots really easily because they can dry out and discolor. Also if you have these auto wipes that you use to clean the dash and things like that, they're really great for shining up the trim. They really makes that plastic shiny and it moisturizes it again. It can help remove like fingerprints and things like that, it just works really well. So always keep those handy. Plastics are a really easy thing, it's really easy to keep clean, it's pretty durable so just wash it like you would the rest of your car and try to keep it moisturized. After you've cleaned it, you may want to also put a protectant on it and this will help keep it nice and shiny and keep it from drying out too much. So that's just, it's pretty simple. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you clean plastic auto trim.
