Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you the best way to clean your stainless steel kitchen sink. There are a number of different products you can use to clean stainless steel, that's the great thing about it, it's almost impossible to hurt. It doesn't rust, real stainless steel doesn't. That's why they use it for sinks because you're going to have utensils and things like this being thrown around in there and it's not going to scratch up, things like that. So use whatever you normally use to clean your cabinets or counter tops, any kind of all-purpose cleaner. If you've got some deep stains in there or you move into a new house and maybe the people before you didn't clean it and really get into the cracks and crevices, you can use barkeeper's friend to help scrub. This is a good abrasive material to scrub with. I personally go for something a little more earth friendly. You can make a soft scrub type cleaner with baking soda and vinegar. Just make it into a paste. It is excellent for scrubbing but if you're just doing everyday cleaning, oh and if you need steel wool, have the steel wool handy. A lot of times this happens because you've moved into a house that hasn't been taken care of very well and you want to get it back to it's original position. So all-purpose cleaners are great for stainless steel because you can just spray and then wipe with a sponge. And if you want to finish it off with a good stainless steel polish, on the faucet, it'll make your sink look brand new. It's all about the faucet. If your faucet is shiny and there's not fingerprints and stuff all over it, then you've done a good job. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you clean a stainless steel sink.
