How to Organize a Bedroom Closet

"Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to give you some tips for organizing a closet. This is not my strong suit but I had to learn how to once I got married because I have a whole lot of clothes and a whole lot of shoes and I had to learn to share my closet space with my husband so I had to get organized. It was grueling and I ended up getting rid of a lot of stuff but in the end my closet is more organized now than it's ever been and only half of it's mine. What you want to do first off especially if you are a female, invest in a shoe rack. They really are life savers, whoever invented this is awesome. They really deserve an award. Shoe racks are, they're wonderful. Make sure you are only keeping shoes on them. You can actually buy another shoe rack but use it just for purses or whatever but the shoe rack that you buy for your shoes make sure you are using it for your shoes. A lot of times when you see your closet it is late at night and you don't really feel like doing anything the right way. You just want to take your clothes off, put your pj's on and throw it in the closet. Try to avoid doing that. Another thing this is a good idea. There are school bags right here. They stay in one spot, right here are Abercrombie bags, giant bags that you can get at stores in the mall and they are awesome for storage in your closet so that's a really good idea. As far as your clothes everybody has their own idea of how clothes should be hung up, what should be hung up. It is just a matter of opinion. There is no right or wrong answer for this. Another thing if you can keep a laundry hamper in the closet that is a really good idea. So your dirty laundry is out of the way, you don't have to see it. You can see there is shoes in this basket right here. That is I guess if you have teenagers and they are not good about putting their shoes where they belong they can toss them into the basket.
