"You and your wife have just recently divorced, and you have things that are where your wife is located. She either stayed at the apartment where you were living, or she got the house where you were living, and the things are there, and you want to know how to get your things back. Hello, I'm Robert Todd, and I'm here to answer the question, How to get your things back from your ex-wife? Well, if you were fortunate enough to have a settlement agreement, that outlined what property you are retaining, and what property she was retaining, it probably also outlines what type of notice you have to give her, and when you can go, and retrieve these items, and generally speaking, if you have a written settlement agreement, that's incorporated in the final judgment, you can enlist the assistance of your local police department, to help you follow up, and retrieve your items. If you weren't fortunate enough to have this spelled out in your agreement, you may call up your ex-wife and ask her when you can come over to get your things. If she doesn't cooperate, don't go over there, and break in, or create an altercation. Instead, go to court, ask the court to specify when you can get your things. If you can't do this yourself, or you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, you may want to consider hiring the services of a reputable family law attorney, to assist you in doing this. I'm Robert Todd, and thank you for watching."
