"Ok when does the stock market close. Stock market close at four o'clock eastern standard time. Which means it will be closing at one o'clock on the west coast, it will be closing at three o'clock in Chicago for example. But four o'clock eastern standard time is when the market closes. Now there's after market, after hours trading. The market officially closed but after hours trading takes place from four o'clock to six thirty pm. So that's still running for a while. Even after the market is closed. And in the morning there is actually premarket sessions from eight o'clock till nine thirty and nine thirty the regular sessions starts. So the full normal session day for the stock market is nine thirty to four o'clock and that's eastern standard time. And the days for those hours are as usual Monday through Friday and a five day week the market is closed all day on Saturday and Sunday."
