"Hi my name is Lauren and today I am here to discuss how to take care of frizzy hair. Frizzy hair happens to come usually when the weather is more humid. Ultimately what frizzy hair is is it comes from dryness. When your hair is very dry your cuticle opens itself up in order to actually grab moisture from the air. That's why on very humid days your hair tends to swell more. In order to prevent your hair from frizzing there are a few different things you can do. One would be to add as much moisture as possible, use leave in treatments, any sort of leave in conditioners after you get out of the shower, use your leave in treatment and simply run it through your ends. You are going to want to gather your hair almost as if in a pony tail and then pull it back in order to get that moisture in. You want to be careful not to go this way with it because what will happen is that all that leave in conditioner will get on your scalp and then your hair will look greasy, it will be flat and it still won't satisfy the ends. The ends are really what craves the moisture. Your own natural sebum production will help the roots of your hair and will also help by your scalp. After you have done that another great thing that you can do is to use silicone based products in order to seal over your cuticles. Silicone based products will add nice shine to your hair and nice luster so after you have dried your hair and have styled it you can then go over it with more of a smoothing serum. Most smoothing serums have silicone in it because it will help coat over the cuticle and help lock that cuticle closed. If the day is very humid and you can't seem to get that frizz to go away another thing you can do is go ahead and use your straightening iron. With your straightening iron you are simply going to split your hair into different sections. You are going to bring a comb through just to get any knots out or anything of that nature and then you go from your root all the way down to your end using your comb to kind of follow through and that's going to help get any bit of frizz plus it is going to help with a little enhanced strengthening and straightness and that is how to get rid of frizzy hair."
