Hi my name is Lauren and I am here to discuss tips to maintain healthy hair. If your hair is already healthy and in really great condition it doesn't take much to actually leave it there. Avoid over processing your hair, avoid over use of thermal tools especially a flat iron because that will actually dry out your hair, damage your hair and weaken your Keratin proteins which are the bonds that your hair is actually made out of. In order to maintain it once you have that healthy hair I recommend using a light detangler or leave in conditioner. Just put a little bit into your hands and after you get out of the shower you are simply going to run it through your ends. What that does is it adds that moisture that your ends tend to need because it is not getting it from the scalp any more. Once you add that moisture to the ends it gives something for your hair to hold on to and helps to maintain that healthy luster and that nice shine. Another great thing to do is hair masks once a week at least, also just maintain your healthy. A healthy diet is a very good way, having a well balanced diet is going to help maintain your health and luster. Also we have vitamins and make sure that your body is getting the nutrients and minerals that it needs. So if your hair is already healthy just keep on going about what you are doing and make sure you don't do anything to damage your hair and that is how to maintain healthy hair.
