Hi my name is Kayti Brosnan. I'm an RN here in Austin, Texas and today I'm going to tell you some Candida Symptoms. Candida Albicans is a naturally occurring yeast in the body and it usually functions along side other naturally occurring organisms and it also helps with functions within the body. The problem occurs when something offsets this balance. The main causes or the most frequent causes of offsetting the balance are increase in sugars, refined foods or over use of antibiotics. When this happens the normal place that the Candida resides is in our intestinal tract, in our mouth and in genitals and so you are going to see the manifestation often in those places whether it is through thrush which is when you have a white yeast on your tongue or abdominal gas or abdominal distension or bloating or with vaginal yeast infections. It can also however, burrow itself through the intestinal tract into the blood stream and thus it travels to all the organs throughout the body so it can manifest itself in a ton of ways. Some of these are fatigue, memory loss, poor or unclear thinking, alcohol cravings, food cravings, irritability, other things are acne, depression, there is a ton of them. It kind of goes into every area because it is going into all the organs in the body so if you are starting to see a recurrence of these things it is good to have some blood work done to see if there is Candida that's in the wrong place in your body and those are some of the symptoms of Candida.
