"Hi, my name's Kayti Brosnan. I'm a registered nurse here in Austin, Texas, and the question today is: How to become a certified nurse's assistant. The steps are pretty simple. The first thing you want to do is find out where they offer a program to certify you. This can be in a local hospital, through the Red Cross, or in a community college. Once you've taken the course, you need to take a state regulated exam. After you've passed it, you get your resume together, get some interviews lined up, and present yourself as best and as professional as possible to your new employer. And once you're employed through a hospital, usually there are some other certifications that you have to do for them and have checked off. And this will just advance your pay and it'll advance your status as a certified nurse's assistant. So that's how you become a certified nurse's assistant."
