Hi, my name is Kayti Brosnan. I'm a nurse here in Austin, Texas and I'm going to tell you what the average cost of a Bachelors degree for an RN is. Basically a Bachelor's degree is of Science in Nursing and it's a four-year program that you can get at either a public or a private university; the cost varies depending upon this. So for, for public university is, it costs about $26,000 for the four-year program. In a private university it costs almost a $100,000 for the four year program. Just an example in, in here at UT in Austin, for an in-state resident, the average cost per semester is $4,419 and for non-residents, it's $11,000. So that's only for 12 credits per semester; so when you're looking into a school, remember to factory and housing, cost for food and cost for books along with the tuition. And that's the average cost of a Bachelors Degree of Nursing.
