My name is Josie Minks and I'm a labor and delivery nurse and I'm here to talk about how to lose weight fast after a pregnancy. First thing is to forget about all the celebrity moms who lose weight like within the first two to three weeks. It's very unhealthy. Second, is it takes about six months for your body to recover from a pregnancy and delivery and so, maybe after two to three months when you are feeling more strength, then you can start exercising. Another recommendation is just to eat healthy, lots of fruits and vegetables in moderation, lots of fluid. Then also, if you're breast feeding, you usually use about 850 ml of fluid every day and so you need about 500 calories to sustain that. But, typically breast feeding really helps in losing weight. It takes off some of the extra pounds. But, the best recommendation is just exercise and eating in moderation, healthy and in moderation. These are ways to help lose weight quickly after a pregnancy.
