Video Transcript

"Hi my name is Brooke Kramer and I am the Financial Aid Officer with Argosy University and today we're going to talk about how to create a scholarship fund. And the first thing you're going to want to do is determine what type of scholarship you want to create. You can either go to a university and have them create a scholarship for you. You can go to a non-profit organization and have them help you create it; or you can try and create it on your own; which if you do on your own it's a lot more difficult and time consuming. Second thing you're going to want to decide is how much money you want to put towards the scholarship. Do you want this to be just a one-time scholarship or do you want this to be a continuing scholarship to help students throughout the year. And finally, you're going to want to come up with your requirements for the scholarship. Do you want it to be an academic scholarship; a community service scholarship? And then once you determine that, what other types of requirements are required for the students to even apply for it and to qualify for it. If you have additional questions regarding program, you can visit our website at www.argosy.edu."
