Hi my name is Brooke Kramer and I am the financial aid officer with Argosy University in Salt Lake City and today we're going to talk about how to get a scholarship. Now pretty much scholarships are going to be very much based on your past history. So when you start applying for scholarships, you're going to want to apply for ones that are more related to your past experiences. An example would be if you're wanting a GPA scholarship to make sure you graduate from either high school or from your undergraduate program with a good GPA as well with other types of scholarships like a community service scholarship, you're going to want to need letters of recommendation from whoever heads the community service project as well as personal statements from you as to how you believe you have earned a scholarship or why do you believe you're qualified for a scholarship. So I highly suggest that you start making essays right now and letters of recommendations to help you when you do start the scholarship application process.
