Hi my name is Brooke Kramer, and I am a financial aid officer with Argosy University in Salt Lake City. And today we're going to talk about Federal grants. Now the first thing you want to do in order to apply for grants is to complete the free application for Federal student aid. Once you complete this application your student officer should be able to tell you what you qualify for in grants. Now if you don't know what grants are they are pretty much free money from the government that they give to students who have high need. And in order to find out what a students need is the complete the free application for Federal student aid. The most common type of grant available to students is called the Federal Pell Grant. And this grant is based on again your need, and we determine your need from the free application for Federal student aid.
