"Hi. My name is Mark and we're going to look at how to create a logo. A logo is the character, the identity of your business. And you need to think about what business you're in before compiling this logo. Are you in a fun, creative, artistic business where colors, for example, are very important? Or are you in a consultative business where it's very serious and conservative? So you need to think about the impact of that. Then, do you think a photograph, an image is useful? Or, maybe just an animation or even a letter? Whatever it is needs to convey the business you're in. So think about the image, the look. Maybe you could use a cartoon character, maybe you're into - you're a cartoon animator in which case it would be very relevant. Think about that, it's going to be bright, fun, colorful. So you need to think about the image you want to portray before you create that logo. Also, the name of the business, have you got a long name, a short name? Can you use one word, one letter? Whatever it is, you need to make it short, concise and impactful. However, if you're in the legal business, maybe you have five partners, and the surnames all mean something in that business, in that industry. So, therefore, you want to incorporate it, but maybe you could reduce it just down to the initial letters. Anyway, any which way you need to think seriously about the message that you want to convey and the logo really is your calling card. It will appear on all of your stationery, letterheads, business cards, brochures, so you need to think that it's going to be short in some ways, people will recognize it immediately and identify it. And, of course, your contact details, you need the contact details whether it be email, telephone, mobile number, fax, Skype, whatever it happens to be, make sure that people can easily contact you and know where you're located and how to find you."
