Hi, my name is Mark and what I'm going to look at today is how to design a business logo. The business logo is the company's identity, this gives you an opportunity to communicate what it is that you actually do, whether it's a service or selling products, goods or products. And, the logo really identifies what it is you do, so it'd be a very good idea for example, if you're in a consultancy business to indicate that in a professional manner. Maybe to handshaking, suit and tie whatever, and for example: the company name. If it be normally a long name, then reduce it down to the initials, and incorporate it into the design, so it identifies who you are as a company, and actually what it is that you do. Don't forget colors are important, so if you're in the consultancy business, maybe you want a more of a somber, serious color, and if, or if for example, if you're selling something fun, then maybe bright colors are a good idea. So, basically the logo really should identify, or put you together with what it is you operate, what kind of service you operate, they need to go work hand in hand. When discussing the design elements of the logo, you have many options, if you're going to do it for yourself, then you need to really have a clear idea as to what your logo is going to incorporate. If it is, as I said, a consultancy service, and you're offering professional services, then you need to think of more of a serious conservative image, and for that maybe you can have a look in various related journals online. What your competitors are doing. Get an idea of how best to convey what it is you do. But, my real recommendation if you have of course, the funds, the budget, is to go to professional artists, graphic design artists who will help you come up with the perfect solution that you need in terms of standing out, because the logo is part of the differentiation process. It expresses who you are, at the same time is differentiates you from the rest. So, you need to think about that carefully.
