"I want to give you some things that might cause some damage to a blood vessel. This is not, by no means, an exhaustive list. But, these are just some of the things that can damage a blood vessel. For instance, you can have a thrombosis, which is a blood clot. Artery or vein, or in the heart, this blood clot could be, and it can cause a stroke. Embolism is another obstruction, it could be an air bubble, it could be a moving blood clot. Another thing that could cause damage is atherosclerosis and that is fatty deposits within the inner walls of the blood vessels. Aneurysm, that's a ballooning of the wall of the blood vessel. It's a bulging because the blood vessel has become weak. And when the blood vessel becomes weak, it bulges out. It looks like a balloon and it can be where it's a fatal disorder many times, but not all of the time. It's just a bulging there that can cause bleeding and a person can bleed out with that. So thrombosis, embolism, atherosclerosis, and aneurysm are just some of the things that can cause damage to a blood vessel."
