"In this clip we're going to go over what makes a good athletic shoe. The first thing you want to ask yourself when you're looking for an athletic shoe is what you're going to be doing with it. You want to make sure if you're going for a runner, it's supporting you the right way for running and if you do another things where, where calls for lateral movement, you're getting the support that you need. So for example we have a runner here where you see the sole cuts down a lot lower in the front and, and the front here which referred to as the upper, you don't have as much support on the sides. If you're looking for something that you're going to do some lateral movements in, this shoe here has more of an example to that where the sole comes up a lot higher in the front and you can see the upper doesn't have as much cloth to it. When it comes to sizing it, what you're going to want to do, after you put it on, you want to stand up and you want to see that you have enough room in the front of the shoe so that as you start to exercise and you create that blood flow in your foot, your foot has a room to grow as it's going to swell with that blood flow. What you want, also want to do to make sure you're preventing any foot pain is if you use them on a consistent basis, you want to replace your shoes every six months. If you don't use them quite as often, you can stretch it out to about a year; but you don't want to go over that much any longer. If you look these ones here, these are mine; they're a little beat up right now and I get, get a new pair. Hope that helps out."
