"I'm Steve Oxley from Denver Angler. Now I'm going to show you how to tie a fly to the fly fishing line, but we don't tie a fly to the fly fishing line we attach the leader to the fly line and then tie the fly to the leader. Take the tag end of the leader place it down through the eye in the hook, pull through four to five inches, and wrap it around itself five times. Then take the tag end back through the loop that's been created in front of the eye of the hook. Then again the tag end that's been created by the loop you've made by that. Pull it through. Then just before you clench it down, moisten it to reduce the friction and strengthen the knot. Then cut the tag end as close to the knot as you can. That's an improved clench knot. That's how you tie a fly to the leader."
