How to Make Homemade Perfumes

"Hi. I'm Stephanie from stephanieknaturals.com. And I'm going to show you how to make homemade perfumes. I'm going to show you my process. I blend with essential oils. And what you'll want to do is make a blend of base notes, middle notes, and top notes. The base note I'm going to show you here is vetiver. And what I'll start with is actually taking a clean dropper and just measuring out a little bit of the oil and adding this to my vile. And there's no set rhyme or reason, rules as to how much I use. I'm just kind of guessing at this point. And I'll, for every oil that I add, I write down so that later I can go back and make the same perfume that I just worked on. I'm also going to go on to my middle and top notes. And just the same, I'm going to sort of experiment, put a few drops of each note in, and then afterwards see if I smell it and like it. So evaluate the perfume and make some adjustments. And you'll want to let it sit for 24 to 48 hours to let the blend mature, because it can change over that time. And then when you're satisfied with it, then you dilute it in the carrier of your choice. You can use fractionated coconut oil or jojoba oil or you can use a high proof alcohol. And you let these blend together, and then you'll have a finished perfume."
