How to Make a 6-Pointed Paper Throwing Star

"I'm going to show you how to make a six pointed star. I'm going to use a little bit bigger paper today. Square sheet of paper, colored or not. This first one I showed you was just plain white, but put your color side down and, or out, and fold it in half one way. Make sure your crease is nice and strong. Open it up and fold it the opposite way. Match your corners, bring it down to the center and bring it out. Fold it then in a diagonal crease and fold it the other way. Center and out, nice strong crease. And then what you're going to do is bring the top left corner down, see how you have this intersection down here? You're going to bring this point about halfway down on this fold, down to here, now while you're doing this you want to make sure that this top right corner comes to a point. So you kind of line it up there and go back here and give your crease just like that. And then you bring the bottom left hand corner, pick it up and you're going to make this come to a point at this corner so you kind of guide it like this and bring it up to about middle, middle of this edge. Just like that and it will overlap and bring it to a crease just like this. Turn it over and this flap you're going to tuck in. First you're going to bring it up to the edge and crease it and then you're going to just bring it back down, bring this flap up and tuck it in just like that. Turn your paper over and you're going to bring this point all the way to this bottom of this fold or this crease, the previous crease that you have. Crease it down like that. And sometimes it's important to go over your creases a little bit because sometimes when you're using the backside they don't seem to lay as flat. You're going to bring this in and crease. Nice strong crease. Open the flap and do the same thing on the other side. Nice strong crease. And bring it back down. Now to start your six points, you're just going to bring this first center flap down and you're going to bring it down so it's past your outside edge. Going to turn this, bring this back down and I'm going to fold this out so it's past the edge and I kind of use this as a guide, this edge right here, I figure where that intersects is as far as I need to bring it and crease it down. And before you turn to your last point, you're going to pick this up a little bit and tuck that in just like that to help hold it down and I'm going to turn it to do the last one. Bring it back in. This time I'm going to line it up at this edge, make sure it's kind of horizontal. Tuck it in and turn it over. There you have your six pointed star. Thanks."
