"Where to meet men in the military. Interesting subject for a guy to be talking about, but I guess I'm uniquely qualified to give advice aren't I? You might be surprised to find out that military personnel actually find it just as difficult to meet civilians as civilians find it difficult to meet them. Most of the time a solider spends is either in deployment or on base. When we dip our toe into the regular world, it's normally to a place that caters mainly to other folks like us. That said, there are military sponsored events like parades and air shows that are packed with us. Get to know someone who works on a base and ask them to invite you to events like balls or parties or movie showings. Write letters from home to a pen pal. The USO can get you connected with a solider in need. Bars and clubs around the base will frequently have their share of dog faces, squids, bubble heads, jar heads or zoomies, whatever your preference. There are many social networking and dating sites focusing on the military. The Internet age means that a soldier in an active duty deployment can still hop on the Internet and chat with someone at the end of the day or get a civilian job on a base, a cashier to base gas station is likely to meet lots of interesting military men."
