"Hi I'm Gary Reasons, former NFL linebacker. Now this topic is how to be a great quarterback. Well it's all about what you do with your feet. It really is a base, you have to have a base of operation because if you aren't firmly planted on the round either throwing the ball or handing it off you are not going to be a good quarterback. It all starts with your lower body. You have got to have a good stance as you receive the ball from center. You have got to be able to bend and as you turn you have got to have your head and shoulders square to where you are going so you can open out to the right, you can open out to the left or you can do a drop back pass so all of those things are important. You must have a great sense of balance within your footwork. You have got to step back and be confident. Now this takes a lot of repetition and practice and these are things that you can do without anybody else around working on your footwork and if you do that you'll be a better quarterback."
