"Hi, my name is Bo Brown and I'm here to talk about how to attract Goldfinches to your backyard feeder. The two feeders seem to work best with multiple ports and lots of perch areas on the feeder. And Niger is one of most important things to put out that will attract them, but it's very expensive, so they will come to Black Oil Sunflower as well. Another thing to do is plant lots of ornamental flowers, composites of all kinds, the daisy type flowers, prairie coneflower, ornamental thistle, and especially sunflower. Sunflowers will attract them in great numbers. They also make a Sock Feeder, it's made out of mesh material that you can fill, it's very affective for them, that you put the Niger seed in that. Another thing, Sycamore balls, the big Sycamore trees that have their seed balls, that is very irresistible to those Goldfinches."
