Hello. My name is Mark Blocker. In this segment, we're going to cover how often do I change my synthetic motor oil. Okay, synthetic motor oil, the requirements for changing it's going to vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and the type of synthetic motor oil you're using. Some of the new ones with the more additive polymers and stuff of that nature, they're advertising quite high mileage intervals for changing a engine oil. This particular manufacturer recommends changing at twenty-five thousand miles, or one year. You'll want to follow the manufacturers recommendations and remember to change your filter as well when changing your motor oil. Also, as with changing standard motor oil, you want to make sure, dispose of your old motor oil whether it's synthetic or standard motor oil according to EPA regulations and make sure it gets recycled properly. So for best results, read the directions on your specific brand of motor oil and that'll let you know how often to change the synthetic motor oil.
