"Hello my name is Mark Blocker and in this segment we are going to cover how long do automotive tires last. Automotive tires last depending on the type of car, the compound of the rubber that the tire is made out of and your drive habits all effect how long this tire itself is going to last. Most tires come with a manufactured warranty and it starts out with like two years 24,000 miles and it can go up about seven years, 75,000 miles and once a gain that all depends on the type of compound. Generally speaking high performance tires use a soft rubber compound to give you excellent adhesive and good cornering capability, they have a softer rubber compound and thus wear out quicker whereas the high mileage tires have a harder denser tire rubber compound and it doesn't grip the road quite as well but it will give you higher mileage. Of course your drive habits have a lot to do with that. If you do a lot of high speed cornering, high speed breaking and rapid acceleration is also going to accelerate the wear on the tires. Your drive habits and the type of tires that you choose for your driving application is going to depend how long tires last. Generally speaking the manufacturer's warranty will give you a generally idea of how long the tires should last. So that's how long automotive tires last."
