Have you ever given to a charity or a non-profit organization and you wondered how the tax deduction thing works? Well one thing that we know is that there are tax deductions available to those taxpayers that give to charities. Now really depending upon the IRS laws at the time we know that there are standard deductions up to a certain point that taxpayers receive for their charitable giving. So we really shouldn't let those things hinder us in our giving to charitable organizations; but just simply understand that they are an incentive for us that desire to give to something that we believe in, to give of our substance to something we deem as worthwhile. So I will encourage you, give; give to your favorite charity; give to your favorite non-profit organization and understanding that that tax deductible gift is an opportunity for you to give to something that you believe in and then still benefit come tax time.
