"Hi my name is Keeley Selvage from Kelley's Skin Solutions. I've been a clinical aesthetician for over half a decade and I'm going to tak to you about some facial skin problems. Now there are so many skin problems that we can have so I am going to talk to you about some of the most common ones and one of the most common ones would be acne. I know that that is a problem for many adolescents but also adults. What happens is we get an overactive sebaceous gland that starts to produce a lot of oil and then that pore can be clogged with dead skin, dirt, bacteria, so it is not necessarily the oil but it's a combination of all those things. The one key thing to remember with acne is don't dry your skin out. I know that sounds weird but you want to avoid that because you don't want to send a message to your skin that you need more oil. Another common skin problem is age spots and we see that a lot especially in some of the southern states. One of the best things that you can do is you want to wear sunscreen all the time every day even if it's cloudy outside or even if you are just driving back and forth to the office wear that sunscreen. You can also see an aesthetician, get a strong exfoliation and that is going to help to remove the age spots. Another thing is large pores. That concerns a lot of us especially as we age it seems like our pores get larger. Now that can be from several different things. We lose elasticity. We lose collagen and those can make our pores look larger. A strong exfoliation will stimulate collagen and elastin so that is a good solution. Also when we get an excess of oil in our pores it stretches the pores and makes them look larger so keeping them cleaned out on a regular basis and making sure that our skin stays hydrated and balanced is a good way to cure that as well. My name is Keeley Selvage with Keeley's Skin Solutions and that is all about facial skin problems."
