Hello, my name is Keeley Selvage with Keeley Skin Solutions. I've been a clinical aesthetician for over a half a decade, and I'm going to talk to you about some holistic skin care products. Now, holistic skin care is absolutely safe. It's probably less corrective than something that you might find at a medispa. However, it would be just as good as anything that you could buy over the counter. So I'm going to give you a couple of things that you can do at home. Now, for oily or problematic skin, castor oil is excellent. It has been used, as you probably know, for many, many years for all kinds of ailments. But you can actually use it for skin ailments as well. Now, the combination that you want to use is for oily skin, you want it to be 30 percent castor oil and then 70 percent of a good carrier oil. I like almond oil. Now, the reason it's so good is because the oil actually helps to break down the oil in your face, so it's, therefore, going to give you a deep purifying no matter what skin type you have. So you're going to put in the 70 percent of your oil, mix it up and massage it into the skin for about five minutes at least, and that will really soften it. And then actually cover your face with a warm, damp cloth -- not scalding, just warm -- so it softens the tissue in your skin and it opens the pores to really get a good cleansing from that. Now, if you have more balanced skin, you want to use 20 percent castor oil and 80 percent of your carrier oil. And then if you have dry skin, you want to use even less of the castor oil. So just 10 percent, and then 90 percent of your almond oil or sunflower seed oil -- whatever your carrier oil is going to be. Okay. Now for a little bit of a holistic eye cream, you want to start with maybe two slices of avocado and I'm going to put about five drops of almond oil in it. And you're going to mush it with a fork. Make sure it's a good, ripe avocado. Of course, organic is great if it's available to you. And squish it until you get a nice paste. A really good creamy consistency. And then what you want to do is put that around your eyes. Now, the beautiful thing about this is you can actually get really close to the eyelid, which is a very delicate area. Get close to that area. It's going to hydrate the skin. It has so many antioxidants. They're going to fight free radicals in the skin. And it will plump the wrinkles and make your skin really glow and even lighten the area a little bit around the eyes. My name is Keeley Selvage with Keeley Skin Solutions, and that is all about holistic skin care remedies.
