Hello, my name is Keeley Selvage with Keeley Skin Solutions. I've been a clinical aesthetician for over a half a decade, and I'm going to talk to you about how to get rid of stretch marks after pregnancy. Now, as you already know, they can be very, very pesky, and very, very visible. Now, the best time to get to these stretch marks is when they're still pink and fairly fresh, and that way, we can actually speed up the healing, and that's going to be the best. And now, if they've been there for a while, one thing to keep in mind is that exfoliation is really going to help to diminish the look of the stretch marks. You can't really get rid of them, but we can definitely make them look better. So what I've done is I've prepared a little scrub that you can do and it's going to be stimulating to the area so it's going to bring blood flow and circulation to the area, which really speeds up healing, and it's also going to smooth the skin and actually plump the area somewhat so it will make them less visible. Okay. this is the scrub that I have. It's one of my favorites. It's got a little bit of coffee in it, it has some cocoa, and it has almond oil. You can also use shea butter if you want, instead of almond oil. So I'm just going to take a little, and I have my model here. I'm going to show you how to go about doing this, and it smells delicious. And you're just going to rub the area and just use the weight of your fingers. You don't want to use pressure because that will irritate the area. But you just want to help your skin along and exfoliate it. Spend about five minutes doing it. Now, a strong exfoliation like microdermabrasion or a chemical peel is really going to be the best thing for this. Now, the reason for that is because a strong exfoliation will reach down to the collagen level and the collagen will then be stimulated to rebuild itself so it's going to plump out those areas. Laser can also be done, and one thing to remember, too, is always treat from the inside. Drink a ton of water and you will see a difference overnight in the resilience of your skin and it will actually plump up your imperfections, too, so that they're less visible. So like I said, you want to spend about five minutes doing that. Then gently wipe it off, and your skin is going to be glowing and, in time, it will help to increase the collagen and plump the area as well. My name is Keeley Selvage with Keeley Skin Solutions, and that is how you get rid of stretch marks after pregnancy.
