"Hi, I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com, and I'm going to talk about what is a pronoun reference. A pronoun takes the place of a noun. An example of a pronoun is "she," and a pronoun reference is the word that the pronoun has taken the place of. So for example, if you start out your sentence, "Hillary Clinton is the Secretary of State," and then your second sentence might begin with "She was recently appointed." "She" refers to Hillary Clinton, and that would be the pronoun reference. So basically, again, the pronoun reference is the word that the pronoun refers to, and that's a little bit about the definition of a pronoun reference."
