"Hi, I'm Laura from YoungWritersWorkshops.com. And I'm going to talk about how to write Narrative Essays. Narrative Essay is one in which you're telling a story about an experience. So you want to start with putting together details about your experience. You might want to have a conference with another writer. If you're engaged in a Writing Workshop style of writing. So this might help you get some of your details and experiences out. The other writer might ask you questions that bring up some details. That you thought about including. It's a good way to get started on this project. The next step is to begin writing in a Story Telling format. Telling the story about the experience. Start with a Thesis Topic Statement. And then create paragraphs that support your thesis or topic statement about this experience. As you revise, make sure you're putting a lot of details. This experience will really come to life for other people. If you include some sensory details. And really include your own responses to what's happening in a story. Review for good use of detail. And also for general editing and formating. Do another draft. Have another writer read and then finish with a final draft of your Narrative Essay."
