So instead of having a kind of intricate design like a website or classic website, which you would see, it's just a bunch of folders and files which are on the Internet available for download. Now, at the beginning of an FTP site, it will...the address will start with the letters FTP, standing for File Transfer Protocol, whereas a normal website uses the HTTP system, which stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Let's look at Nvidia's FTP site as an example. Nvidia is one of the main graphics card manufacturers. We can see that the site starts with the letters FTP for File Transfer Protocol instead of HTTP, like a normal website, which stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Different browsers will have different ways of displaying FTP sites. In Firefox, for example, it displays it as simply a list of different folders and files.
