"Hi, I'm Noah, and I'm going to show you how to create a website for family. The things you want to look for in a service allowing you to create a website for your family is very easy to use functions which will allow any member to very easily add content or edit content from the website, or add some features like pictures, or videos, or things like that. There are a number of companies that offer hosting services along with easy to use tools so that anyone in the family can add content and edit content from the website, without any knowledge of web design prior to this. Usually, you can find such a service for around a low fee like five dollars a month. There are also some free alternatives such as webs.com formally known as Freewebs, where you'll have the whole thing completely for free, the web hosting and the simple design tools, but there will be a big advertisement on top of your web page which you can't get rid of. Google also offers a service like this called Google Sites, and Yahoo does as well called Yahoo Geocities. If you want one without advertisement, you can also upgrade from most of these free programs. For Example with Yahoo by paying a monthly fee you can get rid of the ad, as well as on webs.com. Or, you can just start right away with a commercial solution like homestead offers where right away you wont have an ad, but you'll be paying five dollars a month for a basic simple website with a few pages. Now, a great thing with any of these services though, is that you will be able to have access to these extremely easy to use tools, where if you are simply able to navigate the web and use simple text editing similar to that in Microsoft word, you can simply add images, text, objects like calendar, all kinds of cool fun things to your website, without any advanced knowledge of using computers or web design. This is nice because anybody in the family can do it really easily. Here's an example of a family website made with Google Sites for example. We can see we have a nice little template which is easy to modify the menu on, easy to add some pictures on, and we even have a fairly nice design. You can also add little things like calendars, all kind of fun stuff."
