Hi, my name's Dave Andrews, today I'm going to show you how to make a html drop box. Let's go to our computer. I have here a document called new text document.htm that I've created. I'm going to open it up with just a regular old text header like notepad, now what we're going to do is we're going to put html code into this document, then open it up with our web browser and see the results. The html object we're going to use is called the select box, so let's begin by inserting that, we're just going to call it, starter tag and type select and let's give it a name, we're going to call it "my box" and we also have to close it, so do another tag that closes out your selection box. Now, inside of this selection box we're going to put option tags, so let's create one here, say option, let's give it a value, I'm going to call it just "Dave", now let's leave that tag open as you see here without closing it, and type in the value you'd like to display for the option, I'm going to type Dave Andrews, and then I'm going to close my option. Now, I'm going to copy and paste this a few times, and we'll put some different values in, and some different values for the drop down list. Now, let's save our selection box, and open up the html document. As you can see we now have our selection box here with all of our different options listed. My name's Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to make an html drop down box.
