"Hi my name is Mark Blocker and in this segment we are going to cover how much you can save using energy efficient lighting. Using energy efficient lighting such as this florescent light bulb, this light bulb is designed to replace a 100 watt standard incandescent bulb and it will give you a savings of about 75% per bulb. So if you were paying let's say 12 cents per kilowatt hour per lighting and you were to replace six 100 watt incandescent bulbs with six of these florescent type bulbs that would be a savings of approximately $554 per year. So that's a $554 savings just swapping six bulbs. Most houses use more bulbs than that so your savings should greatly increase. Remember that is based on a assumption or a power rate of 12 cents per kilowatt hours. That's how much money you could save using energy efficient lighting."
