Hello. I'm Dr. Deborah Wheeler. I'm the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Argosy University, Salt Lake City campus. I'm also a clinical psychologist and the topic today is: where is the safest place for that car seat? Make sure that when you install a car seat, you read all of the instructions for the safest location. Generally speaking, the safest location according to experts is the back seat center of the back seat. Make sure that you place the car seat where there are good restraint systems in place. Have that center seat dedicated just to putting the car seat in there, checking it regularly to make sure there's no wear on the seat or the restraint system. You can always consult a an expert on on how to install your car seat. There are also safety checks for car seats from your local police st...officers. Make sure that you take some time to find out how to install it and have somebody else look to make sure that it's seat is installed correctly. If you'd like more information on this topic or any others that we can help you with on parenting, please contact us at argosy.edu.
