Hi, my name is Roger. I'm with R-Tech Computers. I was asked the question of how to troubleshoot a Gateway stylus pen. The quickest and simplest answer is of course get another one. If you don't have ready access to another one then the next step would be to see if your stylus requires any batteries. IF it requires any batteries then go ahead and try putting in a new set of batteries. Some of the styluses in the past have been magnetic. In those scenarios you can't use your finger or something else like tip of a eraser or something along those lines to test it. Many of the styluses are not magnetic. You can simply just try the end of a pencil, the eraser end of course, to see if that works. It's really hard to give you an exact answer on how to troubleshoot it without knowing what kind of a stylus you have. These are just some of the general things that you can try.
