Video Transcript

"Hi, I'm Noah, and I'm going to show you how to access an FTP site. An FTP site is like a website, except it's used only for storing files, which can easily be downloaded by anyone from the Internet. To access an FTP site, simply go to the address bar of our Web browser and type in the address of the site beginning with FTP instead of HTTP, like a normal website. Different browsers will have different ways of displaying an FTP site, however. Here, for example, in Firefox, we have a kind of list view of the files on the FTP. In Internet Explorer, however, we have a kind of classic Windows folder view, which makes it very easy to copy and paste any files we want to get from the FTPing site. You can simply navigate the contents as you would any Windows folder on your hard drive."
