Have you noticed day after day after day that your stock is going up in price or maybe recently down in price? Hi I'm Roger Groh at Groh Asset. Today we're here to talk about stock trends, what they are and how you might be able to recognize them. I have a friend who writes down prices of stocks everyday in a notebook and that's the way he tracks the trend in the share price. Trend might mean the price is moving one way or the other. Now some people thing in increments of 5 seconds or 1 second or one trade because a trend is only the difference between two prices and some other people think very long term. Whether the trend is good for a month or two or a year or five, or longer in some cases. Which one is right or wrong? Neither, but you have to pick your poison and stick with it whatever that might be. Other ways that you can identify stock trends, well if you go on to the website of the stock brokerage firm where you have your money or even Google in stock trend in Google, up will come a list of companies and you can sift through them to determine if there are companies out there that have the characteristics that you like. Other ways, well if you look in the back of today's business magazines and business newspapers, there are charts but that chart list is not going to be anything comprehensive as they're limited by the number of pages in the publication. You're probably better off using a technical trading software package that you could buy or use in order to identify companies that are either moving up or moving down in price. So I hope that helps, I'm Roger Groh with Groh Asset and today we were talking about stock trends.
