Video Transcript

"Hello, I'm Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, a board certified dermatologist and author of Six Weeks to Sensational Skin. This clip is about skin problems on the legs. What you should realize is that almost any skin disease that can take place on our body can also take place on our legs. And we as dermatologists really want to stress this because when we talk about for instance doing total body exams and you doing a skin self exam, which we love you to do monthly, we want to be sure that you carefully examine your legs and especially your feet, the soles of your feet and the webs in between your toes. Unfortunately, some of the most advanced skin cancers that we see take place on the soles of people's feet or between their toes because these are not areas of the skin to which we're commonly exposed and we tend to neglect them when we're doing the surveillance of our skin to look for a skin cancer. So please remember to look yourself over head to toe. This is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo in Miami."
