Hello. I'm Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, board certified dermatologist, and author of "Six Weeks to Sensational Skin." This clip is about foot skin problems. The two most common kinds of problems that we see on the feet as far as the skin is concerned, are first a scaling and sometimes even cracking of the skin. And this is attributable to fungus on your foot. If you'd like to try to remedy it, than we really want to ask you to keep your feet as dry as possible. A wonderful thing is, if you're wearing, sneakers that maybe make you sweat a little bit, when you take them off, please take a hair blow dryer to your feet, and make your feet bone dry, because fungus cannot really survive in a bone dry environment. The second thing that we see as a skin problem on the foot, is excessive sweating. Again, think about wearing the right kind of foot wear that might help you to sweat less. Put on socks to help you with your sneakers. And there's a wonderful prescription called Zirac, or Drysol, for excessive foot sweating. Ask your dermatologist. This is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo in Miami.
