Hi, I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshop.com and I'm going to talk about a definition of progressive learning and methodology. Progressive learning and methodology is one that emphasizes hands-on activities, and de-emphasizes lecture. It often revolves around group discussion, or a lab activity where students will be engaged in actively finding an answer or learning and it tends to center on a student centered approach that would be individualized learning as opposed to learning in a large group where everyone has to learn at the same pace. So again, progressive learning is one that is hands-on, deemphasizes lecture, and tends to focus on individualized learning.
