"Hi, I'm Laura, from youngwritersworkshops.com, and I'm going to talk about the definition of "progressive." Progressive usually means moving forward. It has the word progress within it, and generally in reference to politics, it refers to more liberal, moving forward approach. As it applies to education, it tends to refer to a more individualized study, and something that involves more hands on learning, group discussion approach to education, as opposed to a more top down lecture based approach to education, so those are some ideas about how to define "progressive.""
